Muriel D. and Kenneth S. Armstrong
Kenneth Stuart Armstrong, 72, Centurion 1st Ward, Pretoria South Africa Stake, called as president of the Johannesburg South Africa Temple, succeeding President Peter Bowen. President Armstrong's wife, Muriel Dorothy Dalldorf Armstrong, will serve as temple matron. He serves as a counselor in the Johannesburg South Africa Temple presidency.
He has served as president of the South Africa Cape Town Mission and the South Africa Missionary Training Center. He previously served as district president and counselor, bishop, branch president, ward Young Men president, high councilor and institute teacher. A retired training consultant, he was born in Springs, Gauteng, South Africa, to Ernest Leslie and Phyllis Cora Futter Armstrong.
Sister Armstrong, an assistant to the matron of the Johannesburg South Africa Temple, served with her husband as he presided over the South Africa Cape Town Mission and the South Africa Missionary Training Center. She has also served as a stake Primary president, counselor in a district Relief Society presidency, district Young Women and Primary president, branch Relief Society president, temple ordinance worker and seminary teacher. She was born in Springs, Gauteng, South Africa, to Gustav Carl and Margaret Keen Dalldorf.
